It’s been snowing (SNOWING!) here in Minnesota, and we are getting desperate for spring. This morning we had the rare opportunity of puddle jumping during a mini-snowstorm, and we used our umbrellas as snow shields while splashing through pools of water in our back alley. It was lovely, despite the gray, gloomy skies and chilly North winds.
However, I’ve kept myself busy with some Jane Austen this past week, which is always a good distraction. This little poem is terribly romantic, and fit right in with my time at Pemberley. These posts by Vanessa (V.K. Rees Photography) and her tips for food photography are fantastic. I am really excited about this cookbook; it’s on my list, as well as this one. And, speaking of food related things, remember to vote in the Saveur food blog awards! There are too many favorite blogs up for nominations this year – voting for just one is too hard. I am totally in love with this naked cake Beth made. It’s so beautiful! This album has been on repeat here this week; it’s simple and perfect. And, don’t forget to enter my giveaway if you haven’t!
