I have some links to share with you today. It’s been snowing all day here, and it seems like it might be the perfect weekend for this sort of thing. First of all, the above picture is the Sprouted Kitchen’s dark chocolate almond butter cups, but with peanut butter and cacao nibs. I’m addicted. I highly recommend making yourself a batch. I can’t stop giggling over If Downton Abbey took place entirely on Facebook [caution, there are spoilers]. Highly entertaining. I vowed I would not get into the Vine app, but I have to admit it’s rather intriguing. I haven’t made any videos yet, but I’ve been highly enjoying Naomi’s [from Baker Royale] pie crust videos. Also, my friend Jon made a really funny one. These photographs by Jeff Marsh are incredible. The first image is so beautiful. And this photograph? Ah! I love it. I have had this album stuck on repeat. It’s rather 1990’s of me, but I’m highly enjoying the electro-groove. And speaking of, I made this night grooves mix awhile back, you might enjoy it. Love this post by Umami Girl, with Ira Glass on marriage.Isn’t this a pretty cake? And here’s another lovely one. Also, this article, The Extraordinary Science of Addictive Junk Food is making the rounds for good reason. I finally read this [thanks, Melody].
If you were to say to the grown-ups: “I saw a beautiful house made of rosy brick, with geraniums in the windows and doves on the roof,” they would not be able to get an idea of that house at all. You have have to say to them: “I saw a house that cost $20,000.” Then they would exclaim: “Oh, what a pretty house that is! It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. – The Little Prince

Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:45 amLe Petit Prince! I read it in French a few times over several years ago and it, even at this age, is still one of my all-time favorite. It’s about time I pick it up again.

I think I’m in love with those and I haven’t even tasted one yet. At first I thought they were cupcakes. Now I’m not so sure I can justify making them (and then eating them all!). Eek! (:
